Around easter I am working out new pieces:

Isaac Albéniz: Mallorca, op. 202 for guitar solo in my own arrangement, new in my repertoire. Who wants to dream from a wonderful isle holiday get’s caught by this magical music.

“Frank & Bert” at Bavarian State Opera Munich

I am very happy to be part of the wonderful new commisioned opera “Frank & Bert” by Richard Whilds! It is a musical theatre for kids after the same named book by Chris Naylor-Ballesteros.

It is composed for two singers and four instruments. For all further details go to the link from the Bavarian State Opera Munich. Premiere is the 1st of march 2024!

It is great fun to play!

Since I played the guitar part of the Musical “Man of La Mancha” in 2006 at the Nuremberg State OperaI had the main song of Don Quijote in my mind.

What was a spanish style improvisation of this song as prelude for the second part I worked out now clearly as a wonderful guitar solo piece and recorded it. All done in three days…

From January 6, 2024 you will find it on my spotify and all other channels!

Summer concerts!

I am looking forward to some wonderful programs coming up this summer season!

First in my new home town Stuttgart, but also in Mosbach, Mörsach and Nuremberg.

Finally in August again at the prestiguos Niederrhein Musikfestival: we did in advance some really great videos, check out virtuoso Tedescos Tarantella on my site, and for example Ravels Bolero for flute, guitar (my arrangement;-) ) and DANCE, thats my personal highlight…

There were 4 stunning videos filmed in the most beautyful church of Stuttgart, Old castle. I choose the Fantasie by Weiss on a special built lute-guitar, Sarabande & Double, Bourrée goes Bossa by Bach with an add-on by myself, and wait for one of my most favorite piece released on Christmas Day. All could happen with a grant by the state of Baden-Württemberg, thanks a lot!

Die schöne Müllerin

After our very successful “Winterreise”, we, Tilman Lichdi, tenor, and me, Klaus Jäckle are proud to release also the other great song cycle by Franz Schubert: “Die schöne Müllerin” ! Again in my own arrangement!

I am very happy about our wonderful recording which we did like the last time at scb-music studio near Heilbronn. The CD is available directly from us, just send us an e-mail!

Nach krankheitsbedingten Gitarre-Solokonzerten in Höchstadt (Kritik) und München geht die Winterreise weiter: Meran, Brixen, am 17.2. Sonntag, 1.7.2018 ist Premiere in Mörsach! Nach der sehr erfolgreichen Winterreise jetzt die »Sommervariante«: Die schöne Müllerin wieder mit Tilman Lichdi, Tenor und Klaus Jäckle, Gitarre. Weitere Termine in Erlangen, Bamberg, Nürnberg, Schwaigern, Baden-Baden und Rückersdorf >> Anschließend gehen wir wieder ins Studio und nehmen eine CD auf. Neujahr und Winterreise (06.01.2018)

Allen Besuchern wünsche ich ein gutes Neues Jahr! Besser hätte es gar nicht anfangen können, als mit einer euphorischen Empfehlung unserer CD Winterreise auf »Klassik Heute«, kurz bevor die Tournee los geht: Klassik Heute Empfehlung! Was für eine herrlich leichte und unangestrengte Tenorstimme! Was für ein angenehmes Timbre mit angenehm wenigem Vibrato! Was für mühelose Höhen auch bei unangenehm zu singenden Vokalen wie „u“! Was für eine Klarheit, Reinheit und Helle! Was für eine perfekte Voix mixte! Was für eine genaue Artikulation! Was für genau gestanzte Verzierungen! Was für ein klingendes Piano! Tilman Lichdi hat wohl eine der schönsten Tenorstimmen der jetzigen Zeit. Die ist für Schuberts Lieder und auch dessen Winterreise eigentlich wie geschaffen…. Genau dazu passt die Version auf dieser CD mit einer Gitarrenbegleitung statt eines Klaviers. Das passt genau zum Wanderburschen-Image. Und man hört voller Staunen, wie gut diese Adaption ist. An manchen Stellen klingt die Schubert‘sche Klavierbegleitung eh an eine Gitarre an. Klaus Jäckle gelingt das Kunststück, nicht nur die Klavierbegleitung notengenau auf die Gitarre zu übertragen, sondern manchmal sogar präzisere Wirkungen zu erzielen. So zelebriert Jäckle geradezu jeweils Übergänge von Moll zu Dur und umgekehrt. So realisiert Jäckle mit der Gitarre genau Schuberts Vortragszeichen, die so manche Klavierbegleiter immer ins Schnelle übersehen. Die Staccati in Auf dem Flusse wirken gezupft doppelt staccatohaft, das Lockende der Triolen im verlockenden Irrlicht kommt deutlich heraus, das Krähen der Hähne im Frühlingstraum wirkt klirrend kalt und schön betonte Jäckle hier die Basslinien. Das Trübe der Wolke in Einsamkeit steckt schon im trostlos-harten Gezupfe drin….(Rainer W. Janka) klassik heute 5.1.2018

Weihnachskonzerte und Winterreise (27.11.2017)

Vom 5. bis 19. Dezember heißt es wieder “Weihnachten mit Marshall&Alexander” in den schönsten Kirchen quer durch Deutschland! Ich freue mich darauf! Und winterlich schaurig, aber doch so tröstlich durch die wunderbare Musik wird es wieder im Januar, mit Schuberts Winterreise. Zusammen mit Tilman Lichdi, Tenor, spielen wir wieder unsere besondere Fassung mit Gitarre in unterschiedlichen Orten.
